PROST Beach Cities

The original PROST was started in 1976 with chapters in Denver and Los Angeles, as a protest to SKAL International who only allowed male members. PROST Denver decided to allow only female members whereas PROST LA decided to allow both female and male members.

PROST only grew in Southern California with independent chapters opening in Orange County, Desert Cities, Inland Empire and San Diego. It wasn’t until 2017 when PROST Phoenix/Scottsdale opened that there was any growth outside of California.

We opened PROST San Francisco in 2022. Due to the overwhelming success, many people here asked us to open a second chapter for the Greater Los Angeles area as well. And so, we formed PROST Beach Cites in 2023.

Suddenly, travel industry stalwarts from other states reached out to us, asking for help in establishing other chapters. Consequently, the New York City, New England and Chicago chapters were established in 2024.

With such positive growth and overwhelming demand for more networking clubs, we formed PROST Network as an umbrella organization to group these new chapters.

In 2025, PROST Denver aligned with us and changed their charter to include male members after 49 years. Since then, we’re proud of having opened additional chapters in Seattle, Utah, D.C., The Carolinas, New Orleans and Miami - South Florida.

In the spirit of continual growth, discussions are underway to open chapters in Texas, Nashville, and Orlando.

We applied for a trademark for PROST Network in 2023 and this application is pending. PROST LA applied for a trademark for PROST and their application was rejected as our application for PROST Network was already in place.

In all transparency, we believe the trademark should not be owned by any one person or chapter. Rather, it should be owned by all PROST chapters in the Network.

To this end, we are incorporating PROST Network, issuing an equal share to all chapters who are members. This National Association will be managed by representatives from PROST chapters in the Network.

Since the pandemic, PROST Network has become more valuable in providing a forum for luxury travel industry members to meet and foster business relationships. People working from home felt isolated, sales calls were difficult and travel functions became expensive to host. PROST Network is the solution. It allows advisors and suppliers to network without a set agenda, and that is where the magic happens. 

Our vision is to see PROST accessible to all and inclusive for all proponents of the luxury travel industry.
